The Bird City Bike Coop—also known as Bike Church—is a community-rooted initiative of First Church UCC in Phoenix that blends hands-on bicycle repair with radical hospitality. Its mission is to repair, restore, and repurpose bikes while empowering individuals to learn bike maintenance skills themselves. With a heart for justice, the coop serves those who are poor, marginalized, indigenous, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent, offering not just tools and training, but a safe and welcoming space for connection and care
